I'm a decent seamster. Believe it or not, after 18 intensive months of centered and invisible zippers, I sewed my first lapped zipper just the other night. The instructions seemed pretty straightforward and make-sense, so I dove right in. And ended up with a humpback.
My sewing guru Shauna suggested, sight unseen ('cause she's that good and knows the wily ways of the lapped zipper), that I unpick and go invisible. I wonder how long I will procrastinate on this step, thus delaying the end result dress? What's your experience with lapped zippers? How do you get them to work for you???
BTW, New Look 6727 is the dress under construction...
