I thought I'd seen it on the calendar for 2009 but couldn't find any information on their site by mid-December, and I forgot all about it till tonight. I happened to read one of the first reviews for a garment entered into the contest. I wish I had more time to think about what I would sew for the contest, but maybe I'll sort it out despite my work schedule this month.
Potential bummer: You need to have been a member of PatternReview.com prior to Oct 3, 2008, to enter. Clothing, home dec, accessories, and a few other categories of sewn reconstructions qualify. There are often prizes though I don't see one listed for this particular contest. Here is the contest page.
I really like that they require an item to be reconstructed, not just altered. I've seen a lot of your refashions and I know they are beautiful. A bunch of us have done a stint or two at Wardrobe Refashion, and I'd love to see us alums dominate the entries!
Totally unrelated but it's on my mind -- Amelie is one of my favorite movies. I love this "Bretodeau" scene, approx. 1 min 20 sec:

Oooh, that is tempting. I'm feeling really torn-- I'd love to enter it, but at the same time I have a sewing project I really need to make while it's still cold, and at some point I'm going to have to get started on the three bridesmaid jackets I need to have done by mid-March! (With most-likely hand-sewn trim. Eeeeeek.)
